Scheduling Your RSS Feed for Automatic Updates

This feature allow you to add a new item to your RSS feed or update an existing item in a feed and let the update take effect on a later date. For example, say you are going on a holiday for one month and will not be able to update your weekly RSS feed during that time. What you can do in this situation is that you can add the items / stories that are to be published during this period before you leave and schedule them to be updated on the desired dates!

To schedule an item at the time of creation, please refer to "Adding an item" in "Step 2" under Creating an RSS Feed.

To schedule an existing item for an update, do the following:

  • Click on "List Items" under the desired feed title in your "FeedManager Home" to reveal all the items of that feed.
  • Click on the link "Update" next to the item title you want to update
  • On the next page, click on "Schedule Item" tab in the "Advanced" box
  • Select the date and time from the pull down menus you want your item to be updated on
  • Click the "Update Item" button.

Your item will be scheduled for the update on the date you just set!
