This tutorial will quickly take you through how to create an RSS feed. Follow the below given 3 (actually 2!) steps to create an RSS feed:

Click on the "Create New Feed" tab once you are logged into your FeedManager account to go to the 1st of 3 steps in creating your RSS feed.

Next, fill in all the required fields (which are Feed Title, Link and Description) on the form displayed.

Adding an image and other tags to your RSS feed is optional (*and can be done later as well*). If you do not wish to add them now then ignore the procedure given below for the same.

Adding an image:

• Click on the "Add Image" tab in the "Advanced" box.
• Fill in the full URL to the image you want to associate with your RSS feed in the "Image URL" field displayed.

Adding other optional tags:

• Click on the "Others" tab in the "Advanced" box.
• Fill in all the fields you want to include.

Once you are done filling in all the fields you need, click the "Create New Feed" button to go to the 2nd step.

Your RSS feed is already created when you reach step 2. But it's just a skeleton and has nothing in it. So you need to add an item / story to it. You can do the same in this step.

Adding an Item:
Fill in all the required fields (which are Item Title, Link and Description) on the displayed form

If you do not wish to schedule your feed item for later publishing, or do not wish to add a podcast to this item or do not wish to add other optional tags to this item at this moment, then ignore the procedure given below for the same

Scheduling your item:

• Click on the "Schedule Item" tab in the "Advanced" box.
• Select the date and time from the pull down menus you want your item to be published on.

Adding a Podcast:

• Click on the "Add Podcast" tab in the "Advanced" box.
• Fill in the URL to the *podcast file* you want to attach to this item in the "File URL" field displayed.

Adding other optional tags:

• Click on the "Others" tab in the "Advanced" box.
• Fill in the desired fields

Click on the "Add Item" button to go to step 3.

Step 3:

Congratulations! You have just finished creating your feed!

At step 3, you will be given your RSS feed URL that you can start distributing. Your users can subscribe to your feed using this URL. So go ahead and put this URL on your website or on any other media you get in touch with your users.
