To change the Item Description Display Settings, do the following:

Click on "Configure" next to the desired feed title in your MySite Home
- On the next page, click on the "Pre-Designed Templates" menu item on your left to reveal the settings form
- Select your preference from the "Show Item Description" options in the Template Settings box
If you have selected "Partial" from the options, you'll be shown a "Description Length" text box where you can enter the desired length of the description in terms of characters.
- Click the "Save Settings" button
